Week 74: SNOWFLAKE

It's time to focus on something small and intriguing!  With winter now showing more of its true colors for many of us, it's sometimes helpful to think about the beauty of the season!  Just for fun, here are a few little snowflake facts you might think are interesting:

1.  Snowflakes are made up of ice crystals.
2.  All snowflakes have six sides.
4.  It is thought that no two snowflakes are ever exactly the same.
3.  The average snowflake falls at a speed of 3.1 miles per hour (5 kilometers).
5.  When it is extremely cold, snowflakes become quite simple in design (e.g. needle or rod-shaped), but when the temperature reaches near freezing point (0 degrees Celcius), snowflakes become much larger and complex in design (e.g. star).

These facts may or may not help you with your CAS design, but we couldn't resist sharing!

This week, we're welcoming a brand new sponsor!

We've all experienced that moment when you think "Ah! That's exactly what I wanted!" only to realize that you didn't know you wanted it until that moment. That's what happened to me when I walked into a local art gallery and saw the work of the artists who continue to create images for us today. It was serendipity. I hope that you too, will find our art a serendipitous experience!  Our stamps feature detailed images and words of grace, hand-lettered with artistic elegance.   You’ll find everything from a majestic buck in the forest to a lacey baptism gown.  Wry words from Mark Twain as well as wise words from ancient prophets.  Detailed dies depict scrolled Easter Eggs and feather-winged doves.   We produce rubber stamps and dies for you to use to create your own artwork which goes on to bring a little beauty, a smile, some comfort, to someone else.

Be sure and take a look at their store because this week's winner will receive a $20 gift certificate!

Now let's take a look at what this week's guest designer and the CASology design team created for snowflake inspiration!
