Week 40: WORD

Are we really already at challenge #40?  Where has time gone?!  Time really does fly when you're having fun, doesn't it?  A big THANK YOU to each and every one of you that has made this journey so enjoyable!  We couldn't do this without you, our faithful participants!

Are you ready for a new cue word?!  We're not trying to be cheeky, we promise!

It's your turn to show us what you think of when you think of words!  Perhaps it brings to mind an expression, one word, many words, books, sayings, etc!  You can get a glimpse of what it made this week's guest designer and the design team think of below!  Be sure to visit their blogs to see what they were thinking when they created their cards!  You'll find lots of additional inspiration!  That's half the fun!

This week, we have a one word sponsor!  AMUSE!  Chris Franco from Blessings Ink is offering this week's winner this fun, free stamp set:

A brand new 2013 Amuse catalog came out last month, so if you haven't looked it over yet, be sure and check in out on Chris' blog!  Their stamping products are fantastic!  Oh, and if you feel you "need" a little Amuse therapy, you can start here!

Now let's see all that inspiration we mentioned earlier...

Guest Designer:  Karen
design defined:
Use sponges to partially ink up a background stamp - that bit of depth helps to anchor the die cuts.

Rosemary
design defined:
Using a sentiment that combines images and letters is an easy was to create a clean and simple design.

Tracey
design defined:
If you find that your arrangement doesn't quite look right, a small element stamped in the larger space helps to balance the overall design.

Ardyth
design defined:
Add texture and definition by layering white die-cuts!

Jen
design defined:
Mask your stamps for more depth without layers.

Judy
design defined:
Add interest to your CAS card by using die cuts in your sentiment.

Maureen
design defined:
Stamping on patterned paper is a nice way to add color to your CAS design.

Meghan
design defined:
If you have trouble lining up letters on a CAS card, intentionally tilt and stagger them so a level baseline doesn't matter.

Melissa
design defined:
With abundant "white" space, add interest with embellishments, patterns or a simple rounded corner.

Now go have fun and don't forget to link up your WORD creations by Sunday at 4:00 p.m. (CDT)!
